QUALSAFE LEVEL 1 AWARD IN FIRE AWARENESS (RQF)

Qualsafe Awards is one of the largest Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisations in the UK.

​Both Level 1 in Fire Awareness and Level 2 in Fire Safety form part of the QA Fire Safety suite of qualifications. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the National Occupational Standards (NOS) related to fire safety and the Recommendation of Good Practice outlined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification allows Learners to build an understanding of fire safety management and the specific roles and responsibilities related to fire safety in the workplace.

The QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) qualification is designed for those who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in the workplace.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Over a half day period, Learners will learn basic fire safety principles, including: causes of fires in the workplace, basic fire safety duties and responsibilities, principles of fire risk control, safe use of portable fire-fighting equipment and more. 

ASSESSMENT METHOD

Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper) and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.

The QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF) qualification has been designed for anyone who has a specific responsibility for fire safety in the workplace, such as designated fire wardens/fire marshals.

During this 1-day course, Learners will develop their knowledge and skills in fire safety, including: how fires are caused, the risks associated with fire, principles of fire safety management at work, understanding the role of a fire warden and more.
